Every year several anglers tell me they have difficulty tying their knots due to "old eyesight". Unfortunately this problem seemingly will affect each of us at some point in time in our lifespan. Fortunately there are all kinds of gadgets to help you master knot tying with less than ideal eyesight. There are more tools on the market than you can shake a stick at. Last year I had a student in one of my classes that introduced me to this tool and I have to say, I am impressed and I don't even use knot tying tools. Now I carry one with me and gladly loan it out to anyone having difficutly tying the Improved Cinch Knot. The Cinch Tie Tool will help you easily tie an Improved Cinch Knot to your fly. This tool retails for around $14. It is lightweight and about the size of a #2 pencil. Within five minutes of practice with this tool I had the Improved Cinch Knot down pat. This tool will also help you tie a nail knot and an improved double surgeons knot.

Thanks. This is interesting. Do you know if there are other tools to make knots that could be used for, say, bass fishing with worms, crankbaits, spinnerbaits and such?
