Reel and line for Murray Mt. Rod

I just puchased a new Mt. Rod at Edinburg this week and am mulling the choice between a Ross Cimmaron or Rythym reel--I want something American and bar stock aluminum and will consider other options. What gives the best balance when matched with the Mt. Rod?

Also, should I use a #3 line or would a #4 give better performance?

Rick, I would look at the Ross Flywater reel. It's very light and is cheaper than the two ross reels you mentioned.

I wouldn't put much money into it if you're mainly fishing the mountains. I've yet to put a brook trout on the reel.

I would put the 3 wt line on the rod. I think Scott does a good job of rating it's rods.
